WWE plays enigmatic ‘White Rabbit’ song on SmackDown, house show – WON/F4W

For the second night in a row, the song “White Rabbit” played ominously in front of a live WWE crowd.

During a commercial break on Friday’s edition of SmackDown, Jefferson Airplane’s song was played to fans in the arena but was not shown on television. The house lights were turned off and red lighting illuminated the stage as the song ended.

On Saturday night, it was performed again in front of those in attendance at a house show in Bakersfield, California.

Some have speculated that it might be related to Karrion Kross, known as The White Rabbit in Lucha Underground. Others commented that it might tease Bray Wyatt to return to the company.

Grace Slick wrote “White Rabbit” in the mid-1960s. The lyrics to the song are below:

“A pill makes you fatter
And a pill makes you small
And those that mom gives you
Do nothing at all
Go ask Alice
When she’s ten feet tall

And if you go rabbit hunting
And you know you’re gonna fall
Tell ’em hookah smoking caterpillar
Gave you the call
Call Alice
When she was just little

When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell yourself where to go
And you just had some kind of fungus
And your mind is moving low
Go ask Alice
I think she will know

When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the white knight talks backwards
And the Red Queen leaves with her head
Remember what the dormouse said
feed your head
Feed your head”
