Many plastic sets available today allow for custom configuration, but still have limited design options. Ravensburger’s GraviTrax, however, allows for elaborate designs, epic heights, lifts, more control options, and even motorized elements. If you or your child are looking to design elaborate marble tracks, check out GraviTrax. There are starter sets, add-ons, and components at a wide range of prices. Read my full GeekMom review. -JB

Squishmallows. ‘Nuf Said.
Suggested by: Jenny Bristol
Maker : Kelly Toys
Price: Prices vary
Purchase: Squishmallows. ‘Nuf Said.
Description: I don’t know what kind of magic plushies they fill the Squishmallows with, but I’ve been coveting one since I first got my hands on it. Apparently, I’m not the only one who’s been smitten with their delicious squishy firmness, as they’ve remained popular since hitting the market. There’s something for everyone in the Squishmallow line, with a huge range of animals and characters available, and with sizes ranging from handheld to more than an armful. Squishmallows are fabulous for snuggling up in bed, holding when sad or sick, or just hanging out. They even serve as a pillow! And you can wash them by hand. My new Squishmallow is a whiskered flying squirrel with a ridiculously soft tail named Tansy. I suspect Tansy will tell me they prefer a different name, so I await their announcement with great anticipation. -JB
