Brookings Registry | Home game schedules set for SDSU football schedule

Game times and special event dates have been set for the 2022 South Dakota State Home Football Schedule.

The Jackrabbits’ two non-conference games on their six-game home schedule are scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. The September 10 home opener against UC Davis, which is a rematch of a Football Championship Subdivision playoff game a year ago, has been designated as the annual Dairy Drive game, while the September 17 meeting with Butler has been designated as the 2022 bowl of beef.

SDSU’s four home games in the Missouri Valley Football Conference will kick off at 2 p.m., starting with an Oct. 1 game against Western Illinois. This contest will be the annual Hall of Fame Game, as well as the Precision Ag Bowl.

The Jackrabbits host rival South Dakota State at Brookings on October 8 in the South Dakota Showdown Series before closing out the month with Hobo Day on October 29 against Indiana State.

SDSU closes out the league game Nov. 12 against Illinois State on Military Appreciation Day. Senior Day ceremonies are also scheduled for the regular season finale.

Having qualified for the FCS playoffs in each of the past 10 seasons, South Dakota State finished the 2021 campaign by tying the school record for single-season wins en route to an overall record of 11. -4. The Jackrabbits advanced to the national semi-finals for the fourth time in the last five seasons.

Season passes for SDSU football are on sale at Mini-plans will be available for purchase from June 15, and single-game tickets will go on sale August 1.
